Akrotiri is a captivating archaeological site located on the Greek island of Santorini, known for its remarkable preservation of an ancient Minoan settlement. This historical gem offers a glimpse into a thriving Bronze Age civilization, dating back over 3,500 years. The site was buried and preserved by volcanic ash from the catastrophic eruption of Thera (Santorini) around 1600 BCE, making it a time capsule of Minoan life.
